Inspired by every student whose told they can’t be an artist because it doesn’t “make enough money”.
"LIVE YOU DREAMS!" shouts the privileged person living their dreams as they run down the street past tons of people who have no choice but to give up their dreams and work three minimum wage jobs just to survive.
"Anyone who isn’t doing what they love is living a hollow, joyless, meaningless life devoid of all happiness and worth!" they say as they order a mochachino from a single mother pulling a thirteen hour shift to pay for her daughter’s daycare.
"Money isn’t everything, you know!" they say to the cashier who can’t afford his pain meds that month because it was a choice between rent or medication for his chronic illness and his employer refuses to offer health insurance.
"Just own a yarn store like me!" they sing to the couple that is drowning in dept from the business loans they took out to open their small store that went under because of the recession and are about to lose their home.
"It doesn’t cost much to live comfortably anyways!" they say to the homeless youth who can’t get a job because of mental illness.
"Money doesn’t buy true happiness!" they say happily from the comfort of their warm house they can live in because they have money enough to afford it.
